The Company acknowledges the social imperative regarding the protection of all personal information in conducting our business in the construction and maintenance of submarine cables and on-shore engineering operations. The Company shall observe the laws and regulations concerning the safeguarding of the personal rights of the individual and of personal information. We have established a management system to implement the policy stated below to protect personal information, and will constantly be aware of the latest IT trends, changes in social requirements, and shift in management environment. We hereby declare that we will work for its continued improvement with company wide participation.
- Personal information shall be obtained, used and provided only to the extent necessary to conduct our rightful operations of constructing and maintaining submarine cables and on-shore engineering, and for the hiring and other related necessary work for the management of employees, and shall not be used in any way other than to achieve the specified objective.
- We shall observe the laws and guidelines set by the Government, and other rules and regulations regarding the safeguarding of personal information.
- We shall allocate sufficient resources to establish rational safety measures prevent the risks of leaks, disappearance or damages to personal information, and shall continuously improve the personal information security structure. In the event of accidents, corrective measures shall be taken immediately.
- We shall take appropriate measures, immediately and in good faith, against complaints or for consultation made to our treatment of personal information.
- The personal information management system shall be reviewed whenever necessary to ensure continued improvements and to adapt to the changes in the environment surrounding the Company.
This policy has been distributed to all our employees to ensure that it is known universally, and is be posted on our website and included in our brochures so it is available for anyone to see at anytime.
