The IP & Power Supply Department is engaged in the oceanic broadband business as well as various land-based engineering businesses (power generator servicing business, super condenser business, etc.), that make full use of the experience and skills attained through our marine business.
Oceanic Broadband & Business
Demand has been increasing in recent years for IT services for seafaring vessels, as well as broadband services between the vessels and land. We released "Mega Wave Marine," a fixed-cost, high-speed broadband service for ships, combining the networking technique of NTT Group members with our long experience in maritime services.
Generator Servicing Business, Super Condenser Business
The Company has owned and managed many vessels over the years in our marine business and we have accumulated abundant technical expertise and skill in the operation, monitoring and servicing of diesel engines, as well as the electrical and air-conditioning systems aboard these ships. Using this expertise, we are able to conduct high-quality inspection and servicing of power generators. We are also able to use our expertise to develop and market the Super Condenser, which improves the efficiency of office air-conditioners and achieves the requirements for reducing energy and power consumption.
